IKM Membership examination will be held in September/October. The closing date to sit for the examination is 31 May or when all the places are filled up whichever is earlier. The application form and a copy of the examination syllabus can be obtained from the Institute.
The following persons are qualified to sit for the final examinations, namely, pass degree graduates, with a pass in chemistry, from a University not recognized by the government; and persons who possess the Higher School Certificate or equivalent qualification and have undertaken a course or courses equivalent to the syllabus of the Institute for Part I of the final examinations.

IKM REFRESHER COURSE

Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) is offering a Refresher Course for IKM Part I Examinations this year.
The Course is based on the syllabi of the IKM Part I Examinations. It is intended for those who will be sitting for the IKM Part I Licentiate Examinations.
The Course would be conducted by experienced instructors who are Chemists and who are independent from the IKM Examination Board.
Course Modules:
The Course comprises the following 4 Modules with a total of 80 hours of Lectures:
Module 1 – Inorganic Chemistry (20 hours)
Module 2 – Organic Chemistry (20 hours)
Module 3 – Physical Chemistry (20 hours)
Module 4 – Analytical Chemistry (20 hours)
The Course will start in the second half of the year and conducted as six sessions of 2-day workshops over Saturdays and Sundays at the IKM Professional Centre, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur.
